Final website

This is the link to my website :3
http://btnydance.weebly.com/

I've made all the changes that that my users have told me.
I've published the website through weebly.com

I named my website btnydance. I can't take away "weebly" from the web name because if I do, I will have to pay for the weebly pro to have a customized website name.

Website comment: Background and pictures

"This website was quite a success! I like your background alot. It really reflects the "Indian feel". However, when I was looking through the hand gestures and basic steps, some of the images shown on it kinda of blends with the background. The colours are almost the same making the image not as sharp."

I think it does not make a huge impact as the user should still be able to see the images clearly. As Valerie commented "The explanations are clear and accompanied with images and videos making the learning of the Bharatanatyam dance easy." Therefore, I think the background colour and the images issues would not make a huge affect on the clarity of the site.

Website comment: Layout and information

User anonymous said: "I just love how you have structured your website, giving in lots of details and also going in depth with each topic of the dance that you decided to write about".
User Valerie said: "I really enjoyed your website. It is easy to navigate, colourful and has a simple layout (so for those who are not that good at using the internet, that would be useful). The explanations are clear and accompanied with images and videos making the learning of the Bharatanatyam dance easy."

A strength in my website would be having a clear layout. Due to this, the users can navigate easier around the website. Also, as planned, the images and videos did help with learning the bharatanatyam dance.
I've also provided enough information for the users to have some knowledge on the dance but not going into too much detail as it might bore the user.
"Very good website. Helps alot. Gives great detail on how to do the movements."

"Hi! This website is awesome! It was very informative and I was able to learn alot from it. Stunning background!!"

"Wow! This website is so vibrant and vivacious! I learnt alot about this dance and I will see to it that I continue to practice this wonderful art. Good job on the website! Hope updates will be coming soon.

User William commented on how the colour code of the website was good, him and Kimberlee and Kira all said it was very informative. For this reason, I think I will not add or take away anymore information.

Website comment: Grammar

This user said that: "The website is good although the grammar is sloppy at times. The colour of the hyperlinks on the menu bar is pretty much invisible after they are clicked on however.
After going through my website again, I changed the grammatical errors. Also I found out that I repeated words at some places.
I've changed all the typing errors in the text. I will also get someone (my client for example) to read through my website just in case I didn't find all the grammatical errors.

Website comment: Video page

This user said that:"You might want to add an "About Me" page for your personal information. Also for the videos try to add some caption to describe what it is about and doing. You can use the description from youtube, just have to site it though."\
I've decided not to have the "About Me" page because I don't think the users need to know about me. The reason for this is because I'm not a Bharatanatyam dancer so I will have nothing to say about my "history" I had with the dance. Hence I'm making this website for people who wants to know background information on the dance therefore I don't think it's neccessary to add an "About Me" page because if they asked me something more advanced about the dance, I won't know the answer to it. For the video description, I would use the brief description from the youtube video itself to let the user know what the video would be about as they might have wasted time seeing the video and realised it was not what they were looking for.

Linking back to Enoch's comment, this user also said that: "add a description about the video for more clarity." As both users have commented on this, I will definitely do so.
Furthermore, this user also said that I should add a title for the videos page to keep the consistency.

The entries for the comment box

In the edit mode for my website, when I scroll over the comment box, three buttons will appear, and one of them is the "view entries" button. If I click on the button, I can have all the record on viewers who commented on the website. Through these comments, I could then further improve my website. Also, I would get a sense of what I did good and not too well on the website. The comment won't be bias as I'm not telling the viewers what to write.

Interview with client 5

Me: Now that I've finished desiging the website, what's your opinion on the website?
Yvonne: I think that you've done a good job considering the fact that you started the project off without any knowledge of the typical South Indian dance.
Me: Do you think the background suited well enough with the whole "theme" of the website?
Yvonne: The bacgkround definitely suited the theme as it didn't make the website dull with dark colour or complicated patterns. Instead the background was simple and light makinig the viewer feel more "awake" when they browse the website.
Me: Did it contain enough information? Was the information too chunky?
Yvonne: I think that the website consisted enough amount of information for a person to understand fully the basics of Bhratanatyam. It wasn't too chunky as photos were provided with the text as well.
Me: Is there any improvements that I could make to the website?
Yvonne: You check the website as I spotted a few grammar mistakes.
